Stay tuned I have big plans for my first film in the next couple of weeks that involve YouTube.

Where I'm at...

So right now I'm in the huge process of auditions. I am trying to get as many actors as possible to audition for my parts on Sunday but I am having a lot of stress of getting people interested in the film to committ to being in the audition process and also getting people to committ to the week I am filming after that. I am growing frustrated but I am hopeful of the process.
As far as everything else goes, I am completely set. I have everything ready to go for productions, I just need to get the actors. My script might get some minor revisions in the coming weeks but I really don't want to break something that is not broken. I have shown the script to a few more people and have gotten some really surprising responses. One gal said she cried (+++++ for that). Another guy said he was really impressed with the film. So I think I have a good product here I just need to relax and know that the universe will take care of me.

Also in other news...
We are set to go with the filming of Teenage Superstar the music video for Dominic. The script is written and approved by the star, and we have the two locations confirmed. The next thing we need to still do though is find a female who is willing to be in her panties and a loose sexy shirt to be in the video. No nudity will be involved in this video, we just need her to be willing to be filmed doing some sexy poses on a bed.
On Saturday morning around 9am we are going to be setting up and begin filming in the SU's downstairs Arena room and then afterwards at around 3 we are going to be filming the girl on a bed at my apartment.

So that is where I am at, just a few other quick thoughts, need to finish up the shot breakdown (dance card) for the script and confirm one last location for Roger. And then I'm done.

Had a really good time in this class and met some really good artists. Have a great break everybody.

Working on securing a couple of locations now. One is for auditions, the other is for filming. Hope to know a few things in the coming days about both!

Teenage Superstar...

So Dom and I met for several hours today and talked and talked about featuring him in a documentary and doing some video work together. Great talk and conversation. Ultimately it was decided that we are going to make a music video to start with for Teenage Superstar. The video will be like the video he made but slightly different because we are going to use a female actress for the "bedroom" and take out the audience crowd, just feature him and his backup rappers. As soon as he sends me the song and lyrics I will start working on the script. We are going to shoot on March 5th.

Roger and Me

Furiously working on breaking down what needs to be in every shot (props, actors, ect.). A lot more complex than I want it to be. Maybe there is a way I can make this a bit easier....

Where I am at

Ok, so first off, hey to the readers and second thank you for reading!

Here is how my progress is going IMO: I think that I am doing fantastic and things are going very well for my little film Roger, which won't be very little once it is completed.

The steps that I have done so far:

Wrote the Script

Rewrote the script

Rewrote it again and again about 3 more times or so.

Next I went through and began breaking the script down with a pen for my shot list. Lots of scribbles all over the script. The shot list is basically what I am going to see in the camera lens while shooting the film. This is very important because without this, my cinematographer will not know what my vision of the film is.

After the scribbles on my script, I started working on my story board, which I made into a video story board. I took the scribbles on the script as the shots I wanted to use for the story board. But I knew that the story board was not going to be the actual final version for the shooting script. You can see the video story board here : youtube.com/jboutinproductions

After making the video story board I began writing the shooting script. Going through each shot for the scenes, numbering them and describing what the camera should be seeing.

Up completion of that my new task is now making a scene break down board.

A scene break down board is what I will use to show what I need in the way of props and actors and other things for each scene and shots.

After this is done I will then begin to work on my shot list board, where I will have a detailed list of the order I want to film my scenes.

This coming week is going to be a fun one. I will be starting to cast out the casting call net, as well as securing a couple of locations for the shoot. One of them will be hopefully at the RVTV studio, the other is yet to be found but I am looking!

Anyway filming will begin in late March, casting will hopefully be done in early March.
